The paths of John Paul II

Following the footsteps of an extraordinary man

Before Karol Wojtyla became a Pope, he spent the majority of his life in Krakow. This city has always remained very close to his heart. The future Holly Father studied Polish filology at the Jagiellonian University. He pursued his passion for acting in collaboration with the Rapsodyczny Theatre in Krakow and worked in the city (during the war in Quarry Zakrzówek and Solvay Soda Factory). He celebrated his first Mass at Wawel Cathedral and finally he held the ministry of the Bishop of Krakow. Throughout the city there are dozens of memorial sites connected with John Paul II.

We offer You a unique chance to see places, which he loved and wich inspired him. During the tour we will visit the localizations, where he lived and worked (Bishop’s Palace, Quarry Zakrzówek), institutions, which gathered personal mementos (John Paul II Center ‘Have no fear!’ in Łagiewniki) and places, which were sources of his spiritual strength – St. Mary’s Church, Church and Pauline Monastery at Skałka or Wawel Cathedral.

We have prepared this Krakow Tours for pilgrims seeking spiritual communion with remarkable man and tourists who are simply interested in his life. We are open to your suggestions. You can choose places, that you see as particularly important and interesting. The route can be divided into several days.
